We will first leave from Shangahi to visit the best mudflat of Yellow Sea, the Dongtai-Rudong mudflat, which supports Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Nordmann's Greenshank, Far Eastern Curlew and many other endangered wader species. After days of walk on mudflat, we move to Wuyuan, a beautiful hillycountry with nice preserved mountain habitat for Pied Falconet and wintering scaly-sided merganser.
Then, we go to Poyang Lake, the largest fresh water lakein China, and the most important wintering sites for Siberian Cranes and manyother ducks, geese and cranes. With 2 hours bullet train, we move to Dongzhai Nature Reserve and will try Reeves’s Pheasant and the reintroduced Crested Ibis. The last and third nature reserve we are going to visit is Yanchang Nature Reserve for Red-crowned Crane, also we will visit mudflat with reeds, and large open water area for Japanese Reed Bunting and Baikal Teals.
